School History
LLC Makhinjauri Maritime School traces its history back to 2001. Initially, it was established under the name "Makhinjauri Gymnasium" (2001–2005) on the basis of the Makhinjauri Russian School. Later, by Order №379 dated August 21, 2006, issued by the Minister of Education, Culture, and Sports of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, LLC "Makhinjauri Lyceum" was granted a special license to conduct general secondary education activities.
On May 5, 2011, by decision №55 of the Authorization Board, the institution was granted the status of a general education establishment for implementing secondary-level educational programs and was authorized to implement vocational educational programs for a period of 4 years.
On April 27, 2016, by decision №12 of the Authorization Board, the institution was again granted the status of a general education establishment for implementing secondary-level educational programs and was authorized to implement vocational educational programs for a period of 6 years.
On August 22, 2024, in compliance with legislation regarding school naming, the institution changed its name to "LLC Makhinjauri Maritime School."
The founder and director of LLC Makhinjauri Maritime School is Lali Khvedelidze.
