On 30 September 2025, Giorgi Gabedava, the International Relations Specialist of the Makhinjauri Maritime School, paid a working visit to the European Vocational Training Association (EVTA).
During the visit, he held a meeting with the Association’s Secretary General, Julia Meskino. The discussion focused on strengthening the school’s vocational education internationalization, implementing joint projects and experience sharing, as well as exploring the possibility of the school’s membership in the association.
Membership in EVTA is highly important for the development of vocational education at the Makhinjauri Maritime School, as it:

Ensures integration with the European vocational education space,

Provides access to contemporary European practices and innovations,

Creates opportunities for joint projects and exchange programs,

Supports the enhancement of professional competencies for both students and teachers.
Cooperation with EVTA will enable the Makhinjauri Maritime School to implement its educational mission more effectively and ensure alignment of its vocational education with European standards.
