On January 27, 2025, in connection with the Feast of Saint Nino, a public lecture was held at the Makhinjauri Maritime School. The lecture was dedicated to the role of Saint Nino in the Christianization of Georgia and to her historical and spiritual significance. Within the framework of the lecture, Saint Nino’s missionary activity, the establishment of the Christian worldview in Georgia, and the place of the Feast of Saint Nino in national and cultural memory were discussed.
Special emphasis was placed on Saint Nino as a figure of religious and civilizational significance, whose work had a profound impact on the formation of Georgian statehood and spiritual identity.
The public lecture was delivered by history and Georgian language and literature teachers, Nino Samkharadze and Mzevinar Tsulukidze.
