On April 21, 2026, a public lecture entitled “Georgian–Turkish Relations in Historical Perspective” was held for the students and vocational students of Makhinjauri Maritime School.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Pelin Helvacı, a representative of Istanbul Technical University.
During the lecture, participants explored the key stages in the historical development of Georgian–Turkish relations, their impact on regional politics, and the evolution of bilateral cooperation over time. The session provided students with valuable insights into the historical, political, and cultural dimensions of relations between the two neighboring countries.
