On April 21, 2026, Makhinjauri Maritime School held an activity dedicated to Earth Day, with the participation of 11th-grade students.

The activity aimed to raise students' environmental awareness and deepen their understanding of major environmental challenges, including climate change, environmental pollution, and biodiversity loss. As part of the event, students presented thematic projects and presentations on these important issues.

The event was organized by the school's Geography teacher, Sopio Nemsadze.
