Competition For Students To Participate In The Erasmus + ICM Exchange Program

For the attention of students!

Maritime University of Szczecin, for undergraduate students of the Batumi Navigation Teaching University, announces the competition for participation in the Erasmus + ICM exchange program in the spring semester of 2021/2020.

The Erasmus + exchange program for international student mobility provides travel expenses and scholarships. The amount of scholarship for students is determined according to the host country and the university.

Details of mobility announced at Maritime University of Szczecin:

-          Academic Level - Bachelor;

-          Duration of Mobility - 1 semester;

-          Program Name: Maritime Navigation; Ship’s Power Plant;

-          Language of Instruction – English;

To participate in the competition, students with active status at the Batumi Navigation Teaching University must submit the following documents in English:

-          A copy of a valid international passport;

-          International Certificate of English Proficiency (IELTS - 6.0; TOEFL-78); in case of existence. Applicants who wish to take part in the competition and do not have an international certificate of English proficiency will be required to take the BNTU Institutional English Language Test;

-          1 letter of recommendation from the faculty (Dean / Program Manager / Lecturer);

Who can not participate in the competition:

-          First-year students; 4th-year students studying in the 2nd semester;

-          Those who have already received an Erasmus + ICM grant at a similar level;

Applications will not be considered from students who:

-          Does not meet the requirements set by the framework agreement for participation in the exchange program and the regulations of the International Relations Service of the Batumi Navigation Teaching University;

-          Will be submitted incomplete or non-compliant with established requirements;

-          Will be submitted late or in stages;

Selection procedure:

The submitted application documents will be reviewed by the Competition Commission of the Batumi Navigation Teaching University;

Communicating with selected candidates by the International Relations Service and providing information on Maritime University of Szczecin application procedures;

Filling out the application form of Maritime University of Szczecin by the selected candidates by December 20, 2021;

Evaluation of the completed application form by the host university;

Final selection of students by the Maritime University of Szczecin;

Participation In The Forum Of Asia Maritime & Fisheries Universities

On October 29, 2021, the Head of the International Relations Service of the Batumi Navigation Teaching University participated in the Forum of Asia Maritime & Fisheries Universities.

Head of the Service George Gabedava informed the forum participants about BNTU and answered the questions of the audience. The purpose of BNTU participationin the Forum is to make BNTU a member of the Forum.

The Forum was established on November 7, 2002, at the Korea Maritime University (KMOU) in Busan. It was the first permanent private organization in Asia to bring together maritime universities from Asia and the world.

The General Assembly Of The International Association Of Maritime Universities 2021 (AGA21)

The General Assembly of the International Association of Maritime Universities 2021 (AGA21) is conducting on October 25-28, 2021 in Alexandria, Egypt.

Professor George Gabedava, Head of the International Relations Service of BNTU, participates in the General Assembly on behalf of the University.

International conferences for both students and academic staff will be held within the framework of the Assembly. In which two professors and two students of BNTU take part.

The Annual General Assembly is organized by the International Association of Maritime Universities and brings together experts and representatives of IAMU member universities from around the world.

AGA21 is hosted by the Arab Academy of Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.

Erasmus + Exchange Program Competition for Administrative Staff

Within the framework of the Erasmus + exchange program, a competition was announced for the administrative staff of Batumi Navigation Teaching University at the partner European University – „University of Dubrovnik” for the fall semester of the 2021/22 academic year.

The Erasmus + Exchange Program for International Administrative Staff Mobility covers travel expenses and awards scholarships. The amount of the scholarship is determined in accordance with the Erasmus + guidelines and the legislation of the recipient country.

The contestant must meet the following requirements:

Administrative staff must be a full-time employee of the Batumi Navigation Teaching University during the competition and mobility;

Must submit a letter of prior consent or invitation from a representative of the relevant department / service providing direct hosting during the mobility period. This requirement does not apply to applicants whose selected host university does not request a letter of consent during the competition period;

If the candidate has already participated in the administrative staff exchange program, 6 months must have passed since the last mobility application with the same content (including administrative staff mobility) at the time of submitting a new application.

To participate in the competition, interested administrative staff must submit the following documents in English:

• Copy of international passport;
•  EUROPASS CV;
•  English Language Proficiency Certificate / Certificate (Minimum Requirement B2 Level) - An internationally recognized certificate, English language proficiency certificate from a university, or a diploma certifying that an applicant has completed an English language program;
• Certificate from employer (in English);
• Mobility agreement signed by the immediate supervisor at the home university (Annex 1);
• Prior consent letter from the relevant department / service representative of the host university (e-mail consent is sufficient);
• 1 letter of recommendation from the faculty.

Georgian language documents must be translated into English and notarized.

Duration of mobility - 7 days

Important!

Only complete applications will be considered. It is not allowed to send the necessary documents for the competition in stages. In such a case, the candidate will be automatically removed from the competition.

ERASMUS Days 2021 – Meeting With BNTU Students

The whole world celebrates ERASMUS Days on October 14, 15 and 16, 2021. Batumi Navigation Teaching University joins the campaign.

As part of the campaignthe ERASMUS + information meetings for BNTU students and staff were planned by the University International Relations Service.

As part of the campaign, an information meeting with BNTU students was held on October 13, 2021.

At the meeting, the Head of the International Relations Service briefed the students on ERASMUS + exchange programs and talked about the opportunities that the program offers to young people.

At the meeting, students were also provided with information about the competitions that BNTU plans to hold for the spring semester together with European HEIs.

After the main part of the meeting, a question-and-answer format was held, where students received comprehensive information on all the questions asked.

A meeting with BNTU staff is scheduled for October 15 this year.

Winners Of The Pilot Project "The Global Maritime Professional - Body Of Knowledge" ("GMP-BOK")

Two students of the Faculty of Maritime Engineering Bachelor's Degree Program "Maritime Navigation" of Batumi Navigation Teaching University - Tornike Geladze and Enriko Shervashidze will be funded for two academic years tuition fees.

The students were nominated by the University for the Global Maritime Professional - Body of Knowledge (GMP-BOK) pilot project, funded by the International Maritime Universities Association (IAMU) and the Nippon Foundation.

Students have successfully passed the selection procedure and as a result, they will be funded with tuition fees for the next two academic years.

The pilot project "GMP-BOK" is implemented by the International Association of Maritime Universities (IAMU) with the full support of the Nippon Foundation.

BNTU, as a member of the International Association of Maritime Universities (IAMU), actively participates in the events organized by the Association and supports the projects initiated by it.

International Scientific Students' Workshop

On May 22, 2021, Ana Svanidze, a student of the Batumi Navigation Teaching University, participated in the International Scientific Students’ Workshop organized by BNTU Partner Constanta Maritime University (Romania).

Ana Svanidze prepared the paper "Nonverbal Parameters of Communication in Intercultural Communication" for the mentioned scientific workshop and made a report during the workshop. The paper aroused great interest among the conference participants, followed by a discussion and a question-and-answer format.

Anna's scientific supervisor was Tamar Diasamidze, Assistant Professor at BNTU.

At the end of the workshop, the organizing committee of the workshop approved the paper submitted by the BNTU student and awarded her a prize, hence Anna's work was named among the three best papers of the Fundamental and Humanities Session.

On May 17, 2021, Batumi Navigation Teaching University organized the V Student International Scientific Conference.

The conference was attended by undergraduate and graduate students. In total 95 students participated in the conference, out of which 71 were undergraduate students and 24 were graduate students.

The working directions of the conference were:

• Maritime Sciences;
• Logistics;
• Humanities, Social Sciences and Natural Sciences;
• Business Administration.

Georgian and English language sessions were held at the conference, which were moderated by the BNTU academic staff together with students.

Out of 95 participants, 55 students represented 14 higher education institutions of Georgia and 40 students 12 foreign universities.

The foreign students participating in the conference were from the following higher education institutions from 9 countries:

Eleven foreign members from BNTU International Partner Higher Education Institutions and Associations worked with Georgian colleagues in the conference organizing and scientific board.

The conference was opened by BNTU Chancellor Lali Khvedelidze. She addressed the conference participants and spoke about the importance of the conference for the development of students' scientific and research skills.  The Chancellor also thanked the members of the organizing and scientific board of the conference for their work and expressed hope that next year BNTU will be able to host next conference at the University.

The participants and guests of the conference were welcomed by the Director of the Maritime Transport Agency of Georgia, Tamar Ioseliani. She thanked the BNSU for organizing the conference and wished success to the participants, as well as spoke about the important activities that the Maritime Transport Agency, as the technical regulatory body in the field of maritime affairs, is doing to ensure the quality of maritime education.

Also, foreign members of the Conference Scientific and Organizing Committee also addressed the conference participants and the attending public.

Due to the situation created by the new coronavirus (COVID 19) pandemic, the conference was held online.

The conference lasted online for 5 hours.

On April 11, 2021, the AIESEC Georgia office held an information meeting for the students of Batumi Navigation Teaching University.

The meeting discussed AIESEC exchange programs and opportunities offered by the organization to young people.Students interested in volunteering exchange programs had the opportunity to receive comprehensive information during the meeting about the opportunities to participate in the program.

AIESEC is the largest youth organization in the world. It is an international platform that helps young people to demonstrate and develop their potential to make a personal contribution to the development of society.

The meeting was conducted online through the Zoom platform.

Statement On Exchange Programs

The Batumi Navigation Teaching University provides an opportunity for academic, administrative staff and students to participate in the ERASMUS + International Credit Mobility (ICM) programme.

BNTU cooperates with 10 universities in different European countries within the framework of the ERASMUS + ICM program.

The BNTU International Relations Service will periodically announce a selection competition and competition requirements in accordance with the deadlines set with partner universities.

In addition, students and staff will be provided with information on grants from different countries and the exchange programs to be implemented on the basis of cooperation between BNTU and partner universities.

Students and staff will also have the opportunity to participate in conferences, webinars and summer schools planned by partner universities.

Partner University of the Batumi Navigation Teaching University "National Korea Maritime & Ocean University" provides BNTU students with the opportunity to study with them in the spring semester of the 2020-2021 academic year within the framework of the "Global Invitation Program in the field of Maritime and Ocean Sciences".

Students will be nominated at the host university by the BNTU International Relations Service.

Interested students should submit the following documents:

Study period: March 2021 - June 2021

A selected student will undergo a 14-day quarantine upon entering the territory of the Republic of Korea according to the laws of the Republic of Korea, therefore the selected student must arrive in Korea in mid-February, pass the quarantine and start studying in early March).

Funding: Under this program, the selected student will be funded with a round-trip ticket, accommodation, food and tuition at the host university.

The selected candidate will provide the daily living expenses and international health insurance expenses themselves.

STUDENT IV INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE

On May 27, 2020, the Student IV International Scientific - Online Conference of the Batumi Navigation Teaching University was held.

In total 20 universities were participating  in the conference, including 11 foreign and 9 Georgian higher education institutions from 8 countries.

The reports were presented by the students from Poland (International University of Logistics and Transport in Wroclaw, Maritime University of Szczecin), Romania (Constanta Maritime University, ,,Mircea cel Batran" Naval Academy), Montenegro (University of Montenegro), South Africa (Stellenbosch University), Bulgaria  (Technical University of Varna), Ukraine  (Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding National University “Odessa Maritime Academy”), Turkey  (Ondokuz Mayis University) and Lithuania  (University of Klaipeda).

Students represented Georgia at the conference from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University; Georgian Technical University; David Aghmashenebeli University of Georgia; Georgian National University – SEU; Batumi Navigation Teaching University; Batumi High Maritime Engineering School ANRI; Akaki Tsereteli State University; Iakob Gogebashvili – Telavi State University

The International Scientific Board participated in the opening ceremony of the conference, which included Rector of Batumi Navigation Teaching University, Professor Parmen Khvedelidze, Rector of International University of Transport and Logistics in Wroclaw Marcin PAWESKA, Dean of the Faculty of Maritime Technology and Natural Sciences; University of Klaipeda Assoc. Prof. RIMA MICKEVICIENE; Dean of Faculty of Maritime Studies; University of Montenegro Assoc. Prof. SPIRO IVOSEVIC;

Two English-language and one Georgian-language sessions were held at the conference. During the 6-hour online forum, 54 reports were heard, each of which was distinguished by the depth of the slogan, the effectiveness of the submission, and the original vision.

IAMU - International Association of Maritime Universities - is an important platform that plays a major role in sharing knowledge and experience of maritime universities and professionals in the global market and exchanging ideas.

On April 2020, the 11th session of the International Board of the Association was held, where the results of the BNTU audit were discussed and a positive decision was made.

Earlier, on February 10-11, 2020, anaudit of the Higher Education Institution was conducted by  Capt. Mahmoud Elsayed EI Bawab, a professor at the Arab Academy of Sciences, Technology and Maritime Transport, Deputy Dean of the Institute of Marine Sciences.

As part of the audit,  Capt. Mahmoud Elsayed EI Bawabmet with representatives of the Maritime Transport Agency, inspected the BNTU's material and technical base, the university's legal base, conducted interviews with BNTU administrative and academic staff, students, chairmen of student self-governance service and the alumni of BNTU.

On May 4, 2020, the International Relations Service of the Batumi Navigation Teaching University organized an online workshop for BNTU students, academic and administrative staff on the topic of "Writing Europass CV and Cover Letter".

The workshop was conducted by George Gabedava, Head of the International Relations Service; Assistant-Professor at BNTU.

Within the framework of the workshop, the following topics were discussed:

• Europass CV structure;
• The basic requirements and features of the CV of this format;
• Motivational letter structure and writing technique;
• Effective communication methods;

Participants were able to compile a CV through practical assignments.

The meeting was conducted by using the online application "Google Meet".

Similar types of workshops will make it easier for students and staff to work on exchange program application documents.

An online meeting of the rectors of the member universities of BSAMI (Association of Black Sea Universities) was held on April 21 this year regarding the measures and restrictions introduced due to the new Corona Virus (COVID 19);

The meeting was held to assess the learning and teaching processes in the current situation and to discuss the measures to be taken. The BSAMI online meeting was organized by Piri Reis University (PRU) and was conducted using the University's online learning platform (MS Teams). Rector of Batumi Navigation Teaching University, Captain, Professor Parmen Khvedelidze participated in the meeting.

The meeting was chaired and moderated by the BSAMI Chairperson Prof. Dr. Oral Erdoğan, Rector of Piri Reis University and attended by the rectors/deans of the member maritime universities/faculties from 6 Black Sea countries.

It was noted at the meeting that all members of BSAMI will continue their planned work through using university electronic management systems and updated online platforms; Universities do not have significant problems with the implementation of theoretical training courses and e-administration, however, the difficulties related to the implementation of the practical training component remain relevant for everyone.

The participants of the meeting discussed and shared with each other the activities planned for the future and the prospects of cooperation.

On April 15, 2020, a remote meeting with the students of Batumi Navigation Teaching University on exchange programs was held.

The meeting was organized by the BNTU International Relations Service.

Students were introduced to the ERASMUS + program, its requirements, advantages and opportunities.

Also, students received information about the institutional exam in English and got acquainted with the structure of the exam test.

The meeting was held using the Zoom app.

On April 14, 2020, the International Relations Service of Batumi Navigation Teaching University organized an international online public lecture for BNTU students and staff on the topic:„Selected chapters covering different aspects of technical surveying of the ship and ship's maintenance with particular emphasis to STCW'78/'95/'10 Convention ”

The lecture was given by Spiro Ivosevich, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Maritime Sciences. BNTU partner - University of Montenegro

The lecture was conducted using the online platform “Skype Conference”. It was attended by 50 BNTU representatives.

Online Teaching Methods 

Academic and invited staff were introduced to online teaching methods at the Batumi Navigation Teaching University.

The Head of the International Relations Service talked about the opportunities of the platform “ZOOM” and focused on the details needed to provide online teaching.

• Using the application, lecturers can conduct lectures without leaving home;
• Live Stream is available simultaneously for 100 students;
• The platform also has the function of recording lectures;
• Files can be changed via application;

The e-learning process will start on March 23 at BNTU. The electronic platform will run in test mode from March 16 to 22.

The Batumi Navigation Teaching University moved to anl online learning regime based on the recommendation of the Inter-Agency Coordination Council established by the Prime Minister.

On February 10-11, 2020, Professor of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, Vice Dean of the Institute of Maritime Studies, Captain Mahmoud Elsayed El Bawab, conducted an audit at the Batumi Navigation Teaching University.

As part of the audit, Captain Mahmoud Elsayed El Bawab met with representatives of the Maritime Transport Agency, checked the BNTU Technical and Material Base, the University's Legislative Base. He also conducted interviews with BNTU administrative / academic staff, students, Chairman of the BNTU Student Self-Government Service and Alumni.

The purpose of the audit is to join BNTU in the International Association of Maritime Universities (IAMU), which was established in November 1999 by 7 universities. As of today, it unites 65 marine educational institutions around the world. IAMU is an important platform that plays a major role in sharing the knowledge and experience and exchanging ideas of maritime universities and industry professionals on the world market.

The event was organized by the BNTU International Relations Service.

Institutional Exam In English Language

On December 7, 2019 students of the Batumi Navigation Teaching University passed an institutional exam to test B2 level competence in English.

The English language exam  included examination of four language competencies: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

The purpose of the exam is to prove language competence and prepare students for exchange programs.

The exam was organized by the International Relations Service.

Deputy Rector of Batumi Navigation Teaching University, Professor Gela Gvarishvili, and Professor Ekaterine Gvarishvili visited the University of Montenegro.

Representatives of BNTU got acquainted with the administrative and educational activities of the host university, they also met with students of the educational institution and delivered a public lecture. They completed a two-week internship at the host university.

The visit took place from November 4 to November 15, 2019.

The University of Montenegro is a partner educational institution of the Batumi Navigation Teaching University. Other educational activities are planned within the framework of cooperation.

The representatives of Batumi Navigation Teaching University are conducting a working visit to Wroclaw, Poland.

Natia Mikeleladze, Head of BNTU Quality Assurance Service and George Gabedava, Head of International Relations Service, held meetings with Prof. Zenon Zamiar – Deputy Rector, Stanislaw Slusarczyk – Dean of the Faculty of Logistics, Andrzej Michaluk – Vice-Dean

of the International University of Logistics and Transport.

The Meeting was held on November 12 and 13, 2019, in Wroclaw (Poland) within the framework of the ERASMUS + Academic Mobility Program.

A fruitful meeting was held with Hubert Lucki, Head of the International Projects Office of the University, who introduced BNTU representatives to current and planned projects and prospects for participating in them.

Also within the framework of the ERASMUS + Academic Mobility program lectures by Professors George Gabedava and Natia Mikeladze at the International University of Logistics and Transport (Wroclaw, Poland) were held on the following topics:

„Transport and Logistics in Georgia - Problems and Prospects ”

"Ship’s Flag - Nationality, Selection Factors and Results"

"Interpersonal Communication, Conflicts and Ways of Solving Them"

"Plagiarism in Education and Science Field".

Also, BNTU representatives delivered an open lecture to students, international students and staff of the host university, where they spoke about Georgia and Batumi Navigation Teaching University, introduced to the attendees the potential and offers of the university.

AIESEC Georgia’s Information Meeting For BNTU Students And Staff

On November 11, 2019, AIESEC Georgia conducted an informational meeting with students and staff of the Batumi Navigation Teaching University. The meeting was organized by BNTU International Relations Service.

Professors George Gabedava and Natia Mikeladze of the Batumi Navigation Teaching University are invited to the International University of Transport and Logistics in Wroclaw (Poland) within the framework of the ERASMUS + International Credit Mobility Program from November 9 to November 16 of this year.

Within the framework of the Academic Mobility Program, BNTU professors will deliver several lectures to students and one open lecture for staff. In order to share the experience they will learn about the work of the structural units of the host university.

The Representatives of the Batumi Navigation Teaching University are conducting a first visit to the partner university within the framework of the ERASMUS + International Credit Mobility Program.

Informational Meeting With Students About Exchange Programs

On November 8, 2019 the International Relations Serivce held a meeting with students on exchange programs.  Students of Batumi Navigation Teaching University were informed about exchange programs. The meeting was organized by the International Relations Service in the free space.

George Gabedava, Head of Service introduced the ERASMUS + program, its requirements, strengths and opportunities to the students.

Students also received information about the process of taking an institutional exam in English. Learned about the structure of the exam.

After the meeting the corner of international education was opened in the free space, where students will have the opportunity to study the scholarships offered by universities, organizations and embassies.

Erasmus+ Contact Seminar In Tbilisi

The Erasmus + Contact Seminar was held in Tbilisi. The event was planned for October 30-31, organized by Erasmus + National Office of Georgia.

The seminar was attended by Chancellor of Batumi Navigation Teaching University Lali Khvedelidze and Head of International Relations Service George Gabedava.

The official part of the seminar was opened by TSU Rector Giorgi Sharvashidze, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia Irina Abuladze, EU Ambassador to Georgia Carl Hartzeli and Erasmus + Georgia Office Coordinator Lika Glonti.

The purpose of the seminar was to find partners for the upcoming competition. The seminar hosted 57 representatives from 46 universities in 11 European countries; About 100 representatives of 44 Georgian universities met with European colleagues at the seminar.

On the first day of the seminar, representatives of European universities gave general presentations about their educational system and the profile of the university.

The second day of the seminar was dedicated to speed dating, European and Georgian universities had the opportunity to exchange information and discuss new opportunities for cooperation.

Also, all universities had the opportunity to submit their promotional material.

During the seminar, the Head of the International Relations Service of BNTU held meetings with European colleagues and discussed issues related to future cooperation.

The seminar was hosted by Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

On October 27 of this year, Mr. George Gabedava, the Head of International Relations Service of the Batumi Navigation Teaching University has participated in the International Exhibition of Education - Tbilisi 2019, which was organized by educational-consulting organization EduGuide.Ge in Tbilisi.

The International Relations Service received individual consultations with representatives of different universities, international organizations and embassies; Received more information on the procedures required for admission to higher education, the terms of application, teaching and living conditions;

The representative of German Academic Exchange Office provided students and staff with information on what grants and scholarships DAAD offers to both students and academic / administrative staff in Germany to further their studies or raise qualifications.

The meeting was organized by BNSU International Relations Service.

DAAD unites people and science. Founded in 1925 in Heidelberg by the initiative of the students, today it is one of the most important foundations for international exchange of students and Scientists. Since its establishment, DAAD has financed two million people in Germany and abroad. It should also be noted that DAAD's work goes beyond just scholarship: DAAD promotes the internationalization of German higher education institutions, enhances Germanic and German language as a foreign language, assists developing countries in developing competitive higher education, while also consulting with experts in education, science and development policy.

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has been represented in Georgia since 1988. The budget is funded by various federal ministries, primarily the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as the EU.

On October 18-20, 2019, Akaki Tsereteli State University hosted the IV International Conference "Modern Interdisciplinarism and Humanitarian Thinking" an Interdisciplinary Study of Identity in Kutaisi.

The conference was attended by Ms. Tamar Diasamidze, Assistant Professor of Batumi Navigation Teaching University. Ms. Tamar made a report on the scientific paper: "The Cultural Nature of Expressive Characteristics of Paralinguistic Mthods".

International Conference „Tourism, Transport And Logistics“

George Gabedava, Assistant Professor of Batumi Navigation Teaching University, participates in the 640th International Conference on Tourism, Transport and Logistics on October 16-17, 2019. BNTU Professor made a report on the topic: „ROLE OF MARITIME SHIPPING TO MEET SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDGs)“.

The conference is being organized by the Institute of Research Engineers and Scientists in Zurich, Switzerland.

Participation in the conference was financed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Adjara within the framework of Higher Education Promotion sub-program.

On October 10-11 of this year, two students from the Faculty of Maritime - Engineering of Batumi Navigation Teaching University: Dimitri Kuznetsov and Temur Bakuridze participated in the international Student Conference “My Profession in 2040 – Challenges of High School Education”.

The conference was organized by the Nikola Vapttsarov Naval Academy in Varna, Bulgaria.

The students made a report on the topic:  "THE BENEFITS OF A TWO-STAGE TURBOCHARGER".

On 4-5 October of this year, the rector of BNTU Mr. Parmen Khvedelidze and Chancellor Ms. Lali Khvedelidze were on a working visit to the universitythe International University of Transport and Logistics in Warsaw.

The President of the University, together with the Department of International Relations of the International University of Transport and Logistics in Wroclaw, hosted BNTU representatives. The Rector and the Chancellor of BNTU attended a Reception Ceremony dedicated to the start of the new academic year, within the framework of the visit a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between BNTU and the International University of Transport and Logistics in Worclaw.

Future cooperation plans were also discussed during the meeting. As part of the collaboration, both university students and academic and administrative staff will be able to take advantage of the ERASMUS + ICM program and implement mobility, share teaching-learning and work experience with one another.

The Batumi Navigation Teaching University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Vienna Institute for Transport and Logistics Management.

The purpose of the Memorandum is to exchange students and academic / administrative staff, as well as to conduct joint research projects and short-term programs.

Visit of JADE University Representative to Batumi Navigation Teaching University

On September 27, Batumi Navigation Teaching University hosted a representative of JADE University.

Within the framework of the visit, Mr. Nicolas Nause, a representative of the Department of Maritime and Logistics of JADE University, held a meeting with the BNTU’s Deputy Rector, Chancellor, Head of Quality Assurance Service, Head of International Relations Service and Deans of Faculties. During the meeting the parties shared their experiences and discussed achievements and future plans.

During the visit, they also discussed issues of future cooperation aimed at the mobility of students and academic staff between universities within the framework of the Erasmus + International Credit Mobility (ICM) program.

On September 24, Batumi Navigation Teaching University hosted Captain Tony Bilik, Head of the Department of Maritime Studiesof the University of Zadar (Croatia).

Within the framework of the visit a working meeting was held with the Deputy Rector of Batumi Navigation Teaching University, Chancellor, Head of Quality Assurance Service and Head of International Relations Service.

During the meeting, the sides discussed structural and functional issues of the University, they also focused on current and future projects and educational programs.

Also, at the meeting discussed issues of future cooperation issues aimed at student and academic / administrative staff mobility between universities within the framework of the ERASMUS + International Credit Mobility (ICM) program.

On September 24, Batumi Navigation Teaching University hosted the Dean of the Maritime Faculty of Montenegro University - Mr. Spiro Ivosevic.

The purpose of the visit was to discuss the details of the planned cooperation, within the framework of which students, academic and administrative staff of the Batumi Navigation Teaching University will be able to participate in exchange programs of the University of Montenegro.

Within the framework of the visit a working meeting was held with the Deputy Rector of Batumi Navigation Teaching University, Chancellor, Head of Quality Assurance Service and Head of International Relations Service.

At the meeting, the parties agreed to exchange students, academic / administrative staff and develop joint programs.
