From 27 to 31 October 2025, the Makhinjauri Maritime School held an educational week dedicated to the International Black Sea Protection Day, organized jointly by the Departments of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, as well as the Departments of Social Sciences, Georgian Language, and Foreign Languages.

On 31 October 2025, a thematic class hour on the topic “Mother Tongue — The Treasure of a Nation” was held for 12th-grade students at the Makhinjauri Maritime School.

The students discussed the life and remarkable contributions of Jakob Gogebashvili to the development of the Georgian language, education, and national consciousness.

Particular attention was given to Gogebashvili’s tireless efforts in establishing and promoting public schools in Georgia.
