On February 24, 2026, as part of the Open House Days initiative, representatives of the Makhinjauri Maritime School visited public schools in Khelvachauri to introduce students to the school’s educational programs.

On February 16,2026, a class hour was conducted in the 11th grade at Makhinjauri Maritime School on the topic: Career Planning and Setting Future Goals. The aim of the meeting was to introduce students to professional pathways in the maritime field and to develop their practical skills.

In particular, the following topics were discussed:

  • Maritime career paths and their importance (career orientation, industry overview, maritime professions)

  • Education, certification, and professional

On February 11, 2026, a seminar dedicated to Global Air Quality Day was held at Makhinjauri Maritime School on the topic: “Climate Change and Sustainable Development.”

As part of the event, participants analyzed the cause-and-effect relationships of climate change, the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals, and prospective strategies for addressing the issue.

On February 10, 2026, an event dedicated to celebrating International Book Reading Day was held at the Makhinjauri Maritime School, organized by the school library.

The invited guests at the meeting were poet Bella Keburia and poet Bagrat Akujba, a graduate of the vocational education program at Batumi Navigation University. The event was also attended by the Georgian language and literature teacher of Makhinjauri Maritime School, Anzhela Jakeli.
